Spider-Girl #62
Spider-Girl swings across a moonlit building façade in this 2003 Marvel issue, her red-and-black costume caught mid-motion while an ominous, looming shadow stretches across the wall behind her — and a dark, clawed figure lurks at the lower right edge of the frame. Barry Kitson's cover art sets a genuinely tense mood for "Marked for Death, Part 2 of 6," suggesting that May Parker has some very dangerous company on her tail. With Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz steering the story and a talented art team backing them up, this six-part arc looks like a compelling stretch for one of Marvel's most determined young heroes.
