Speed Comics #3

Speed Comics #3 is an anthology featuring the big double-length story "Shock," in which the hero Shock is overcome by terrifying flames, loses his senses, and is taken prisoner in a fortress dungeon. After learning from fellow prisoner Jim Worth that they are in an aggressor nation's secret headquarters, Shock breaks free by snapping his chains, helps Jim escape through a window, and locates the General's headquarters on the third floor. The issue also includes "Biff Bannon of the U.S. Marines" by Remington Brant, featuring Biff as a Marine who avoids combat but is rewarded with a date, and "Texas Tyler" by Harry Walters, in which Texas pursues a band of cattle thieves and defeats one by wounding his horse.
