The lead story follows a crime boss named Lucky Luciano who controls prostitution and gambling rackets in a town, but is eventually apprehended by a determined female detective and police after he flees in his private airplane and attempts to escape by boat to South America. A second story titled "Gangster's Luck" depicts a jailed criminal who believes his luck will keep him safe from recapture, but after escaping and hiding in the forest, he is ultimately caught when rain washes away his tracks, leading authorities to find him and proving that crime never pays.
Mike Kranik, a slow-witted repair shop worker, meticulously plans what he believes is the perfect crime—murdering his boss Joey Flam and robbing the safe during the night shift. He carefully disposes of the murder weapon, hides the stolen money, and washes away all traces of blood, convinced he's outsmarted the law. But Detective Lindstrom and the homicide team suspect something doesn't add up, and a chemical test reveals evidence Kranik thought he'd erased forever.
An escaped convict flees into the forest, convinced that his exceptional luck will keep him ahead of the pursuing law—until circumstance delivers a brutal lesson about the true cost of his confidence. Writer and artist credits are not provided for this 1950 crime tale from Spectacular Features Magazine.
When counterfeit bills flood the streets, the Secret Service moves in—but their investigation uncovers something far more audacious: a counterfeiting ring operating inside a federal prison itself, using the institution's own equipment. A federal agent goes undercover as a new inmate to infiltrate the operation and gather evidence from the criminals' own confessions.
