Spawn: The Dark Ages continues its brooding medieval journey with issue #8, titled "Acts of Contrition." Liam McCormack-Sharp's cover art is genuinely striking — a grotesque, heavily textured demonic figure dominates the foreground, its decayed, hulking form looming over the composition, while a ghostly, luminous robed figure radiates light in the background, creating an arresting contrast between darkness and an almost spiritual radiance. Brian Holguin's storytelling and the atmospheric colors from Brian Haberlin, David Kemp, and Andy Troy make this 1999 Image series one of the more distinctive corners of the Spawn universe.
