Spawn #21

Spawn #21 kicks off "The Hunt Part 1" with a cover by Todd McFarlane that puts the hellspawn front and center — masked face glowing with those unmistakable white eyes, his massive red cape billowing dramatically as he thrusts a clawed hand toward the viewer, a chain at his side hinting at the dark power he commands. It's a bold, confrontational image that captures everything unsettling and compelling about the character. With McFarlane writing and drawing interiors alongside inker Mark Pennington and colorist Steve Oliff, this 1994 Image series remains one of the most visually distinctive superhero books of its era.
