Sparkler Comics #101
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis anthology issue contains multiple stories: a cover story by Ernie Bushmiller featuring children with a string-on-finger reminder to come home on time; a comedic adventure with a king's court where characters attempt to catch fish and encounter various mishaps; and a dramatic adventure story in which a character named Aquila, revealed to be a boy kidnapped twelve years prior, is forced into a tribal sacrifice ritual but is rescued by a man named Casey who severs Aquila's wing harness, causing him to fall seventy-five feet.
The Captain and the Kids find themselves a thousand miles from home when a simple oyster-pearl venture spirals into mistaken-identity mayhem involving the King himself. What starts as a pearl-selling scheme turns into a chaotic chase through ocean voyages and tropical encounters—complete with wild animals, eccentric characters, and enough comedy to keep things spinning wildly out of control. By the time they reach Paradise Island, the trouble is only just beginning.
