Sparkler Comics #18 is an anthology featuring multiple stories and characters. "Hap Hopper: Washington Correspondent" by Drew Pearson and Robert S. Allen follows the journalist as he exchanges dog tags with a murdered man to clear Colonel Bullion of suspicion. "Broncho Bill: Gold Hoarder" depicts Bill discovering that an old prospector's fortune is hidden in gold pieces, which Bill then guards from thieves before returning the treasure to the prospector's heirs. The issue also includes stories featuring Captain and the Kids, Nancy, Abbie and Slats, Tarzan, and Ella Cinders.
