Sparkie meets King Midas in the Golden Garden, where the king's magical golden touch has turned everything, including the princess, to gold. Sparkie must reach the king before the princess is completely transformed, leading to a confrontation in which Sparkie outsmarts the greedy monarch. The issue also includes "The Gorilla," where Sparkie and friends must capture an escaped gorilla named Gus at the zoo by unlocking both cage gates to trap the animal inside.
