# Space War #8 (1960) "The Contaminated Spaceman" follows Engineer Bowman, who is exposed to a blinding nuclear flash while aboard a spacecraft and becomes dangerously radioactive. After a desperate decision is made to abandon him in outer space to prevent the contamination from spreading to Earth, Bowman drifts alone through the cosmos, struggling with radiation sickness and despair. A mysterious alien species discovers the dying, irradiated man abandoned in the void and rescues him, offering him salvation when no one from Earth could help.
