"The Facsimiles" depicts a space crew near the planet Rostok M in distress, broadcasting mayday signals while unable to escape despite maximum power. "Last of the Grexi" follows Marshal Regan Thorpe's assault fleet fleeing from Spaceport 4 after an encounter with the Blue Alliance, with orders to investigate why the Grexi phenomenon sparked a space war. "Capture" features Captain Joe Bee and Mrs. Parry on a tropical planet where they discover a Nurakan cruiser, use half-power weapons to disable it, and crash-land their own vessel, then investigate the alien ship's condition and debate whether to use Nurakim May as a weapon against the dormant lifeforms aboard.
A space cruiser commanded by Captain Marle is trapped and forced down to the alien planet Rostok M, where the crew is imprisoned and studied by its inhabitants—who devise a sinister plan to send duplicates of themselves back to Earth disguised as the human crewmen. With the fate of Earth hanging in the balance, the real Captain Marle and his companions must find a way to expose the deception before the facsimiles can carry out their mission of conquest.
Marshal Regan Thorpe leads Earth's mightiest fleet to victory against the Blue Alliance, but his brilliant tactics mask a troubling secret—the exceptional mental powers driving his genius are accompanied by crushing headaches and delusions of being an alien entity bent on humanity's destruction. When his officers discover the truth and attempt to relieve him of command, Thorpe's fractured psyche threatens to turn his own fleet against Earth itself. A desperate struggle unfolds between the marshal's two natures, with the fate of the planet hanging in the balance.
Captain Joe Bee of the Interplanetary Military Police is assigned to track down a spy at Gator Bay, an exclusive resort in space—armed only with a description and a name: Irina Larx. When he encounters the mysterious Jane Doe, their cat-and-mouse game becomes increasingly complicated as she tests his detective skills with flirtation and misdirection, forcing him to uncover who she really is and why she came to Earth. What begins as a straightforward manhunt becomes something far more unexpected when the truth behind her arrival emerges.
A reconnaissance crew led by Captain Delgado finds itself stranded behind enemy lines when the technologically superior Nurakim fleet decimates Earth's forces in a devastating surprise attack. Desperate to survive, the crew decides to crash-land on the Nurakim homeworld itself—only to discover that the aliens' weakness in personal combat may offer an unexpected advantage. As they fight their way deeper into enemy territory, Delgado and his crew uncover a startling truth about their seemingly invincible conquerors.
