This anthology issue contains multiple space-themed stories. "Free State of Hecuba" follows Commander Cory's spaceship as it blasts off toward the mysterious planet Hecuba, which is revealed to be a hermit planet that moved backward while other planets advanced forward, leaving it isolated and desolate. "Treason in Space" features Lance Gregg, a space tramp and drifter, who is grounded for the fourth time for cracking up a landing ship, but is ultimately vindicated when he helps rescue Commander Cory's vessel, which had been disabled and was plunging toward a planet until oxygen was supplied just in time.
