Spécial Strange #13
In "... lequel vaincra le Fléau ?", writer Len Wein and artists Sal Buscema, Frank Giacoia, and Dave Hunt deliver a high-stakes clash between Spider-Man and Dr. Strange as Xandu unleashes chaos by stealing a crystal and reactivating the Wand of Watoomb. With their powers stripped in a foreign dimension, the two heroes must temporarily swap abilities to survive—and fight back—while facing the tragic aftermath of Xandu’s past. The cover by Jean Frisano captures the tension of this crossover moment in a 1978 French edition from Editions Lug.
In "… lequel vaincra le Fléau ?", Storm confronts her deepest fear as claustrophobia triggers a haunting reawakening of her origin. With the X-Men struggling to stop Black Tom and Juggernaut, she must face both her past and the present danger—before the team is overwhelmed.
In "Cité en flammes," the Thing fights Basilisk in the Savage Land before the villain drags them both into the heart of New York City. Spidey, just back from a time-jump, finds the city under siege as lava erupts from a volcano in the Hudson River—only to uncover the Thing felled and Basilisk poised to unleash total destruction.
In "Le sceptre de Watoomb," Spider-Man is manipulated by Xandu into stealing a powerful crystal from Dr. Strange’s sanctum, setting off a chain of events that pulls both heroes into a dimension where their powers fail. With Strange’s magic and Spidey’s agility forced to work in tandem, they must find a way to outwit Xandu before the villain’s dark resurrection of the Wand of Watoomb unleashes untold chaos.
