The fourth volume of Jean Dufaux and José-Luis Munuera's Sortilèges arrives with a cover that burns with passion and urgency — a bare-chested man cradles a red-haired woman in his arms, the two figures silhouetted against a roaring wall of golden fire that sweeps across the landscape around them. Munuera's artwork gives the scene a painterly, almost mythological weight, the warm light playing across the embracing couple with striking tenderness amid the surrounding flames.
