In "Echoes of the Past, Part 1," Knuckles leads a portion of the Chaotix on a mission to a mysterious floating island believed to be a refuge for the rogue scientist Dr. Finitevus. As they navigate the strange terrain, Knuckles uncovers ancient ruins that seem utterly out of place—structures that defy the island's current landscape and hint at a forgotten history buried beneath the sky.

In "Echoes of the Past, Part 2," the skies above Angel Island darken as robot flying devil dogs descend, driven by a relentless quest to claim the Chaos Emerald that keeps the island aloft. With the island trembling beneath the assault, Knuckles ventures into the forgotten ruins below, where he uncovers the unsettling presence of Dr. Finitevus—once a guardian, now a shadow of his former self.

In "Echoes of the Past, Part 4," Dr. Finitevus makes a dangerous bargain with the Dark Egg Legion, handing over Angel Island in exchange for access to the Master Emerald. As the island’s fate hangs in the balance, Bill’s long-held secret threatens to unravel everything.
