Doctor Druid takes center stage on Lee Weeks's cover, robed in purple and channeling a glowing sphere of mystical energy while a massive, looming supernatural figure — pale-faced and menacing — towers behind him against a blazing archway. The tagline promises the "Occult Avenger battles the magic beneath Manhattan," and with a story titled "The Sinking of Los Angeles," this 1988 Marvel anthology is clearly serving up some seriously strange threats on both coasts. Hawkeye fans get their fix too, with the archer featured prominently in the corner box, making this a satisfying double-feature package.
