Soeperman — the lovably scruffy Dutch superhero in his red-and-blue costume and flowing cape — strikes a proudly defiant pose on René Uilenbroek's cover for this 2014 album from Don Lawrence Collection. Arms crossed and expression set to maximum stubbornness, he looks every bit the unlikely champion suggested by the subtitle Op Eenzame Hoogte ("At a Lonely Height"). It's a charming, funny package that fans of Dutch comic humor will find hard to resist.
