Smörbukk [Smørbukk] #1974
In "Fiskefestivalen," Smørbukk and Trond head to Flødevigen for a fishing contest that unfolds from a skating rink out to sea, where Smørbukk claims victory with a trophy-sized cod over twenty kilos. Written by Johannes Farestveit and illustrated by Solveig Muren Sanden—both handling pencils and inks—the story takes a sharp turn when the duo is caught in a military exercise, forced into uniforms and assigned to potato peeling. When ordered to empty a latrine, they make a daring escape and end up as costumed guides at the Nordbygda Bygdemuseum, dressed in traditional bunad. The cover, also by Solveig Muren Sanden, captures the whimsical chaos of their misadventure.
