Sleepwalker #12

The tagline says it all — Sleepwalker is "At the Mercy of Nightmare" in this May 1992 Marvel issue, and the cover by Joe Quesada (pencils) and Michael Bair (inks) makes that threat feel viscerally real. A dark, shadowy Sleepwalker stands amid swirling chaos while a helpless civilian crumples nearby, and coiling green serpents twist through the background alongside a pink-and-green vortex of nightmare energy. It's a genuinely unsettling composition that sets up "Dark Dreams and Darker Schemes!" with real atmospheric dread.
