Skullkickers #8

Part two of "Five Funerals & a Bucket of Blood" finds our two mercenary heroes in a predicament that's equal parts humiliating and hilarious — the tall, white-haired warrior and his stout, orange-bearded partner are bound and wearing signs reading "Please Rob Me" and "Steal My Stuff," with shadowy, grasping figures looming behind them. Jim Zub, Edwin Huang, and Misty Coats deliver the kind of deadpan fantasy comedy that made Skullkickers such a breath of fresh air in 2011. If you like your sword-and-sorcery served with a generous side of self-aware absurdity, this one's hard to resist.
