Skullkickers #27

Part three of "A Dozen Cousins and a Crumpled Crown" finds the stout, red-bearded dwarf front and center, fists raised as a massive, rune-marked portal blazes with swirling fire beside him — debris scattering in all directions. Jim Zub, Edwin Huang, and Misty Coats bring their signature blend of fantasy action and humor to this Image Comics series, and the cover's dynamic energy promises the arc is building toward something big. At $3.50, it's a fine entry point into one of the more boisterous adventure comics 2014 had to offer.
