Part four of "Five Funerals & a Bucket of Blood" arrives with one of the more disarmingly beautiful covers in the series — a tiny, glowing fairy perched contemplatively atop a blood-drenched skull, surrounded by skeletal hands clawing from the darkness. The jarring contrast between her delicate green wings and the grim carnage around her captures exactly the kind of irreverent, fantasy-meets-brutality tone that makes Skullkickers so entertaining. Jim Zub, Edwin Huang, and Misty Coats deliver a striking visual package for this 2011 Image Comics installment.
