Skulldigger and Skeleton Boy #4

A lone costumed figure — small but determined — sprints through a shadowy urban alleyway toward a blinding shaft of light, while the looming ghost of a skull-faced presence hovers ominously behind them. Tonči Zonjić's cover work is striking in its stark contrast of deep blacks and cool blues, giving this 2020 Dark Horse series a moody, street-level atmosphere that feels equal parts crime noir and superhero pulp. Jeff Lemire and Zonjić are clearly crafting something with real visual confidence, and issue #4 looks like a compelling place to feel that tension.
