The first story, "Secrets of the Supernatural," features a woman claiming to channel the power of Seta, goddess of serpents, who hypnotizes a man and transforms into a giant serpent creature before being shot by the mesmerized victim. The second story follows Ted Johnson, who travels to Cairo and encounters a vampire bat that kills a woman named Barbara; Ted must pursue the creature through the city streets and into a hotel, where he discovers the bat has become a disembodied brain controlling vampires, which he ultimately destroys with a silver blade. A final sequence shows Ted exhausted in the hotel lobby, reflecting on his harrowing encounter with the supernatural threat.
