The finale of Andy Diggle, Davide Gianfelice, and Dave McCaig's five-part Marvel limited series arrives with a cover by Butch Guice that's all quiet menace — a woman's face in extreme close-up, lips parted, as smoke curls from an ornately engraved gun barrel she holds just below her chin, skull-shapes ghosting through the wisps. It's a strikingly intimate image for a series steeped in gunfighter grit, suggesting that this conclusion carries real weight alongside its action. A satisfying wrap-up to one of 2012's more stylish Marvel western-flavored outings.
