"The Gunmaster" features the masked gunslinger confronting an Apache uprising and Mexican bandit raids threatening a town. After a great white stallion forged by the Gunmaster helps him overcome the villain Mendoza, the Gunmaster must disarm Mendoza to prevent his scheme from succeeding. In a separate storyline involving Wyatt Earp and Annie Oakley, Earp is wounded but pursued through town by criminals and Apache, eventually finding refuge and recovery while Annie and allies work to capture the outlaws responsible for the violence.
