Six-Gun Heroes #44

Kit Carson and his companions face a desperate situation when they become trapped in a churning river and must escape before the current sweeps them over a waterfall. After struggling through the water, they discover a burning cabin and work frantically to rescue those trapped inside, using blankets and teamwork to protect themselves from the spreading flames. When Kit makes a daring rifle shot to help one of the three men escape, he claims it as magic and luck, but later back at camp he admits the successful shot required both skill and belief.
