Sinister Sons #5

The subtitle "Daddy's Home" says it all — Sinister Sons #5 puts Kor-Zod and Sinson in a genuinely precarious spot, as Vasco Georgiev's cover depicts the two young troublemakers pinned to the floor and bound by glowing red chains while a looming, arms-crossed figure bearing a Red Lantern emblem hovers menacingly above them. Georgiev's linework and Tamra Bonvillain's moody colors give the scene a tense, almost cinematic weight, capturing the boys' defiant grimaces even in the face of what appears to be a very unhappy authority figure. Peter J. Tomasi's "Bad Sons Rising" arc continues to look like a thoroughly entertaining dive into what happens when the sons of General Zod and Sinestro get in way over their heads.
