Silver Surfer Rebirth #4

The cover of this April 2022 issue says it all — the Silver Surfer finds himself at the mercy of the Jack of Hearts, whose armored form dominates the foreground, fist crackling with brilliant purple-pink energy as the gleaming cosmic herald staggers against a shattered wall behind him. Ron Lim and Don Ho bring a wonderfully kinetic, '90s-inflected energy to the confrontation, with bursting light and debris flying in every direction. Writer Ron Marz and the full creative team are clearly having a great time revisiting these characters, and "Old Friends, Old Foes" promises exactly the kind of cosmic showdown fans of the Surfer's classic adventures will appreciate.
