Silver Surfer #128
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of this May 1997 issue says it all: the Silver Surfer stands tall on his board, his gleaming form streaked with unsettling dark patterns, while Daredevil and Spider-Man flank him on either side — both visibly shaken as they look up at whatever has come over their cosmic companion. Ron Garney's pencils and Bob Wiacek's inks give the scene a striking, almost eerie weight, making "Beneath the Silver Skin" feel like exactly the kind of story that lives up to its title. J. M. DeMatteis helming a tale about what lies under that chrome exterior, with this trio assembled on the cover, is a genuinely compelling setup for any fan of Marvel's more introspective side.
