Silent Hill: Dead / Alive #2

Nick Stakal's haunting cover for this 2006 IDW installment says everything without saying a word — a young woman, bloodstained and hollow-eyed, sits perched on what appears to be a grand piano, red petals drifting through the foggy dark behind her. The painterly, watercolor-tinged style perfectly captures the quiet dread that defines the Silent Hill universe, making this feel less like a horror comic and more like a glimpse into a waking nightmare.
