Peter de Wit's minimalist touch is on full display in this fourth installment of the Dutch Sigmund series, where the titular character — a squat, shades-wearing figure in a white hat and dark coat — lounges in deceptively casual style against a cool grey background. The bold magenta title lettering gives the cover an understated graphic punch that perfectly suits Sigmund's deadpan personality. With de Wit handling every creative role himself, Vierde Sessie is a fine showcase of one cartoonist's singular, wry vision.
