Sideways #8

Part of DC's 2018 "New Age of Heroes" initiative, Sideways #8 finds its dimension-hopping hero charging front-and-center in his sleek black-and-white suit, surrounded by an eclectic team of allies. The cover by Kenneth Rocafort assembles a striking lineup around him — a caped sorceress crackling with golden energy, a white-costumed flying hero, a dark-suited figure conjuring green flame, a speedster in red and gold, and a looming green-skinned monster filling the foreground — all promising the "side by side with the Seven Soldiers" tag line some serious visual weight. Writers Dan DiDio and artist Max Raynor bring readers to what looks like a tense, crackling convergence that should make this one of the more team-heavy entries in the series so far.
