Sideways #5

Part of DC's 2018 "New Age of Heroes" initiative, Sideways #5 puts the spotlight firmly on the flamboyant villain called The Showman — shirtless, fur-collared, and brimming with confidence as he looms over a pinned and struggling Sideways in the foreground. Behind them, an angry crowd waves protest signs reading "Sideways: Fake Hero, Fake News," painting a vivid picture of a young hero fighting on two fronts at once. With Kenneth Rocafort's kinetic cover art and the creative team of Justin Jordan, Robert Gill, and John Rauch driving the story, this issue promises plenty of spectacle to match its title, "It's Showtime.
