“Perfect Form”

In "Perfect Form," a shape-shifting alien known as Lord Dichon hijacks a Khundian warship and sets course for Earth, seeking a permanent form to fuel its cosmic conquest. As Matrix / Supergirl, under the guidance of Elizabeth Perske, struggles with uncontrolled energy bursts, the alien's arrival turns her into a living vessel—its next host. With stunning art by Stuart Immonen and dynamic cover by Tom Grummett and Doug Hazlewood, this 1995 Showcase issue delivers a tense, body-horror-tinged showdown with a villain whose very nature defies form.

A formless alien takes over a Khundian warship, and after giving itself a temporary body, heads to Earth to acquire a permanent one, thereafter to begin its takeover of the universe. On Earth, Matrix / Supergirl, now being mentored by Elizabeth Perske, Lex Luthor's ex-wife, is dealing with laser beams gone wild when the warship hovers overhead. The being, calling itself Lord Dichon, manages to capture Supergirl and turn her back to her original protoplasmic form, in preparation for using her as its new permanent body.
