This is an anthology issue containing multiple stories. The main story features Sheriff Luke Spade and Doc Eaton confronting outlaw Reb Stuart, who has stolen guns from the gunsmith's shop and is attempting to rob the bank with help from Wabash Jones; the sheriff and his deputies engage in a shootout to stop the robbery. The issue also includes "A Lawyer's Lesson," a text story about attorney Gerald K. Philbin in 1874 Darlington, who becomes embroiled in a dispute between homesteader Dave Pason and cattle baron Ed Lewis when Lewis's stampeding herd is mysteriously diverted by a flaming trench dug on Pason's land, with the sheriff ultimately suspecting arson.
