Shaun of the Dead #4

IDW's 2005 comic adaptation of the beloved zombie comedy reaches its fourth chapter, and this cover by Jason Brashill captures the desperate, gritty tension of the finale perfectly. A bloodied man braces a shotgun as it fires — muzzle blast blazing — while a horrifying press of decayed, reaching hands closes in from every direction around him. With a script from the film's own creators Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright alongside Chris Ryall, and interior art by Zach Howard, this is a satisfying conclusion to a licensed series that took the source material seriously.
