“Extra Life”

"Extra Life" introduces a mysterious new Power Man in the wake of Bullseye’s devastation of a Hell’s Kitchen apartment building, his arrival marked by a Craigslist ad promising heroic services for hire. Written by Fred Van Lente and illustrated by Mahmud Asrar, with inks by Scott Hanna, colors by Bruno Hang, and letters by Dave Sharpe, the issue sets up a tense clash between Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and the enigmatic young hero whose sudden attack on Cage hints at a deeper, personal vendetta tied to his father. The cover by Mike Perkins captures the moment’s intensity, a striking image of the new Power Man standing against the ruins of the city.
