Shadowland #1

Marvel's 2010 limited series kicks off with a striking cover by John Cassaday that assembles some of Hell's Kitchen's most formidable street-level heroes — Spider-Man swings forward at the center, while the Punisher, Moon Knight, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage fan out behind him, all cast against the looming, shadowed silhouette of Daredevil overhead. The composition immediately signals that something has gone very wrong in the neighborhood these heroes call their own. With Andy Diggle writing and Billy Tan on interior art, this first issue sets the stage for a Marvel event with serious muscle behind it.
