The October 1987 cover by Joe Kubert delivers an unsettling image: a lone soldier in combat gear strides forward shouting "I found our missing buddies—!" while surrounded by large, looming figures rendered in eerie blue — hanging or slumped in deeply troubling poses that suggest these "buddies" are anything but safe. Titled "Another Landing, Another War!" and subtitled "The Sons of Easy, Part Two," this issue continues Easy Co.'s harrowing WWII saga with the scrapping spirit the series is known for. With Robert Kanigher writing and Andy Kubert on interior art, it's a compelling chapter in one of DC's most enduring war titles.
