Joe Kubert's cover for this 1983 DC issue says it all: a nervous, fully-equipped GI stands front and center, muttering anxious what-ifs about running out of ammo and misfiring rifles while a full-scale brawl between Allied and enemy soldiers rages chaotically behind him. The banner promises Easy Co. has a new member — "The Worry-Wart" — and the contrast between his hand-wringing hesitation and the furious combat surrounding him makes for a wonderfully human setup. Writer Robert Kanigher and artist Frank Redondo bring the story to life inside, with Tatjana Wood's colors and Kubert's unmistakable cover work making this a sharp entry in the long-running Sgt.
