A rocket streaks directly toward a wide-eyed soldier in the foreground while Rock and the men of Easy Company scramble desperately across the chaotic battlefield behind him — Joe Kubert's cover art puts the reader right in the line of fire with visceral immediacy. The cover promises a "double-barreled wallop" in the form of a full-length Sgt. Rock story plus a backup shocker called "Deadly Enemy," making this June 1980 issue a particularly generous package. Robert Kanigher and artist Rubeny deliver the interior goods on "High-Flier," backed by the coloring of Tatjana Wood and lettering by Esphid Mahilum.
