Sgt. Rock #309
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeJoe Kubert's cover for this October 1977 DC issue says it all: Sgt. Rock and the men of Easy Company charge into battle dressed as circus clowns — polka-dot costumes, bunny ears, and oversized bows layered right over their helmets and combat gear — rifles blazing against German soldiers in the foreground. It's a genuinely wild visual, equal parts absurd and intense, perfectly capturing the kind of only-in-war-comics premise that made this series so enduring. "Battle Clowns" promises exactly the sort of inventive, hard-hitting storytelling from Robert Kanigher and Lee Elias that fans of Easy Co. had come to love.
