Jae Lee's cover for this second issue of Image's Seven Sons is quietly unsettling in the best possible way — a pale, expressionless young figure in a gold vest and red tie sits at center, flanked by two motionless women lying at his sides, while a towering cloaked presence looms directly behind him. The cool blue palette and Lee's signature precise linework give the composition an almost ceremonial stillness that feels far more ominous than any overt action could. Writers Robert Windom and Kelvin Mao's collaboration with Lee continues to look like one of 2022's most distinctive horror offerings.
