In "Mannen som ikke er der," a desperate thief steals an invisibility cloak and uses it to slip through the city’s underbelly, evading capture with each daring heist. Just as he prepares to vanish from his crumbling tenement, his landlady arrives with the police—only for him to disappear into thin air, unseen as they search the room. When they leave, locking the building and setting off a fumigation, he realizes too late that the cloak may have hidden him from eyes, but not from the silence that follows.
