Sergio Aragonés Groo the Wanderer #68

Sergio Aragonés brings his trademark manic energy to issue #68 of Groo the Wanderer, titling this August 1990 installment "The Hero of Lerolero." The cover — penciled and inked by Aragonés himself — captures the delightful chaos perfectly: a cackling, elaborately dressed sorceress recoils in theatrical surprise while a hunched, skull-adorned witch conjures something alarming, and poor Groo tumbles helplessly in the grip of a massive green creature in the background. With Mark Evanier co-writing, lettering by Stan Sakai, and colors by Janice Cohen rounding out the creative team, this is Aragonés' world at its most gleefully anarchic.
