Sergio Aragonés Groo the Wanderer #58
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeSergio Aragonés' cover for issue #58 tells a delightfully chaotic story all on its own: a massive crowd of worshippers prostrates itself before what appears to be a canine idol perched atop a stone altar, torches blazing and offerings piled high — while poor Groo, flattened beneath the throng, peers up at the reader with his trademark bewildered expression. It's a wonderfully dense composition, every inch packed with Aragonés' signature cartoony detail, perfectly setting the stage for "The Idol." With writing by Aragonés and Mark Evanier, inking and pencils by Aragonés himself, and lettering by Stan Sakai, this 1989 Marvel/Epic entry is a fine example of the whole creative team firing on all cylinders.
