Sergio Aragonés Groo the Wanderer #43

Sergio Aragonés and Mark Evanier send their bumbling wanderer into a very tangled situation with issue #43, and Aragonés' cover says it all — Groo stands center stage, wrapped in chains that connect him to a horned beast-man on his left and a bemused, heavyset fellow on his right, his bug-eyed expression suggesting things have gone wrong in the most Groo way possible. With a story titled "Slave!" there's little mystery about the general direction of this 1988 Epic Comics adventure, and Aragonés' wonderfully expressive linework makes the comedic misery absolutely contagious.
