Sentry #6
The sixth chapter of this eight-part 2006 Marvel series delivers a striking hourglass image — with a desperate, crouching Sentry trapped in the lower globe while a monstrous dark presence looms menacingly in the upper half, the two halves suggesting time and duality are very much at the heart of this story. John Romita Jr.'s pencils and Mark Morales's inks give the composition a sharp, kinetic energy that makes the tension between hero and shadow feel genuinely urgent. With Paul Jenkins at the wheel and a murderer's row of colorists including Dean White and José Villarrubia, this penultimate stretch of the series is shaping up to be something special.
