At a party, romance counselor Ann Martin sees a crying girl run outside, and follows her. She explains that she has to decide whether never to see the man she loves again or tell him that she is a liar and a cheat. At her office the following morning, Ann is visited by Gene Weldon, who is the man from the previous evening and who has a similar problem. When finally they meet again, Vera explains that she is a lowly salesgirl while Gene is a rich man born and bred. In fact, he works in the same store as Vera. And so, true love prevails.
