Marvel's tongue-in-cheek anthology one-shot leans fully into its "Non-Event" label, and Jim Mahfood's cover captures that spirit perfectly — a sprawling, energetic crowd of Marvel characters including Wolverine front and center, Spider-Man, Power Man, and a colorful cast of heroes and creatures packed together in Mahfood's loose, graffiti-influenced style. The whole composition feels like a party crashing a crossover event, winking at Secret Wars itself with cheerful irreverence. If you're looking for something lighter in your 2016 Marvel reading, this is a very deliberate and fun detour.
